The Steering Ahead Internship Program is designed to put high school students on the fast track to becoming a professional technician at an International truck or IC Bus dealership. This program includes:

The Steering Ahead Internship Program is designed to prepare high school students in diesel or auto programs for what comes next in your life and career. It puts you on the fast track to becoming a professional technician at an International Truck or IC Bus dealership and gives you everything you need to get there.
FIRST, WE’LL GET YOU UNDER THE HOOD.
THEN WE’LL GET YOU INTO THE ACTION.
If you want to be the best, you have to learn from the best. While you’re taking online classes, we’re going to pair you up with members of our team and put you into every service situation possible.
While you’re shadowing, you’ll make friends with the foreman, spend time with the service manager, get tight with the technicians. You’ll learn how to make repairs, dispatch tickets, bill customers, and more.
Let’s put it this way: everything that happens on and off the service floor, you’ll be on it like grease on a fifth wheel.
