DIVERSITY, EQUITY
AND INCLUSION

WHY DOES DEI MATTER?

We as a nation are becoming more diverse. Generation Z (people born during or after 1995) is the most racially and ethnically diverse generation yet; they have expectations from their employers that exceed from other generations. As our customers and employees diversify, we need to prepare to accommodate their needs.

At International®, our DEI efforts intrinsically add value to our business by creating a culture of belonging and engagement across our organization. They also deliver economic value to the companies we engage and the communities where we operate and provide products and services. We actively seek relationships with diverse suppliers across our industry, welcoming women-, minority-, veteran-, disability- and LGBTQ+- owned companies and small businesses.

DIVERSITY

We embrace all expressions of diversity: race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, age, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, education, marital status, language, physical appearance, and diversity of thought (ideas, perspectives, and values).

EQUITY

We help all employees succeed by acknowledging their unique needs; providing fair treatment, access, opportunity, and advancement; and eliminating barriers to their full participation in all aspects of the employee experience.

INCLUSION

We create an environment that is both diverse and inclusive, that gives every individual and group space to be themselves at work because they feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued. At International, we succeed when we actively involve everyone's ideas, knowledge, perspectives, approaches, and styles.

WORKFORCE DIVERSITY

International understands that to be successful, our culture must be centered around diversity, equity and inclusion. We are committed to advancing a workplace that celebrates and respects our differences and provides all employees with the opportunity to achieve their greatest potential. This commitment begins with recruiting and hiring and continues through training, developing and retaining our diverse workforce.

In our global marketplace, our partners, customers and communities represent a range of intersecting characteristics from ethnicity to gender to business approaches. By building and sustaining a diverse workforce, we can better understand and respond to unique and evolving challenges and opportunities. With diversity of thought comes a significant competitive advantage: fresh perspectives and different points of view. With this in mind, we seek and recruit diverse candidates that reflect the world we live in.
