LEANER, SLEEKER AND READY TO ROLL

Blue Truck

The superior operating economy of the new International® LT® Series isn’t the result of the revolutionary International® S13 Integrated Powertrain alone. It also took painstaking engineering in a variety of areas, including the design of the cab. For on-highway trucks, airflow is incredibly important. Sometimes the smallest detail can have a huge impact on the overall coefficient of drag – or the efficiency of the airflow – and those details are only discovered in the wind tunnel or through computer simulations.

As a result, a new aero package was developed, and, when combined with the new S13 Integrated Powertrain, the new LT® Series can achieve up to a 15% gain in fuel economy* over the new LT® Series equipped with the first-generation International® A26 engine.

Aero package features:

  • Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and fuel fill closeouts allow air to flow smoothly over the chassis skirts.
  • Steer wheel closeouts and a modified lower skirt trim improves underbody airflow by restricting airflow through the wheel opening.
  • A new roof extender improves airflow between the tractor and trailer gap.

* Comparing the fuel economy of the 2017 GHG International® A26 engine in a 2017 International® LT® Series truck with aero package to the fuel economy of the new International® S13 Integrated Powertrain in a 2024 International® LT® Series truck with the LT® aero package and chassis enablers. Actual customer results may vary due to various factors, including but not limited to, truck specifications, weight of the vehicle, predictive features, environmental conditions, etc.

ADDITIONAL LT® SERIES ENHANCEMENTS

The new LT® Series introduces other features that will help both drivers and fleet managers rest easy.

New Flip-up Bunk

Not all trips require the same amount of bunk space. In fact, some trucks may be operated by one driver on the way out and two drivers on the way back. If the extra sleeping area is needed, a new, premium 9-inch sleeper mattress is a flip away.

Safety

Fleet managers and drivers alike will appreciate the new electronic parking brake that automatically engages vehicle and trailer parking brakes if the driver forgets to do so—no more accidental rollaways.

New Styling

The design of the new LT Series includes a new bumper and grille style. The new front end adds a refined touch, yet it retains the signature styling International® Truck is known for.
