OCTOBER 2023 TECHNICIAN OF INFLUENCE WINNERS
International® is pleased to announce the four winners of the Technician of Influence Award for the month of October. The individuals listed here have demonstrated their commitment to pursuing continuous improvement and delivering the highest level of customer service.
ROOKIES
These tech professionals have less than two years of experience at the dealership, have shown commitment to Uptime by being top producers, have gone the extra mile, and have proven they are responsible and trustworthy.
Service Technician
Adrian is one of the most thorough technicians I have worked with; he is a top technician at RWC Group. He shows dedication and hard work and is a team player. Adrian’s relationship with customers is top-notch; he is willing to put in the time to help customers even at the end of the shift. Adrian is also master certified. He has come a long way in the 2 years he has been a technician. His tech notes are superb and clear, so the customer has no issues understanding what their truck needs. He is consistent in his work ethic and never needs to be questioned about the diagnostics he has performed. He is the lead tech in the shop and steps in when I am with a customer or not present during the day. Adrian's efficiency is top of the shop and of the company. He sets the bar high and everyone who works with Adrian acknowledges and follows.
Within the dealership Adrian has also led our Triage group, taking our triage lead time from a few days to under a day with incredible speed. This leadership, along with his skill at deciphering warranties, and sending the vehicle where it needs to go for appropriate action, has also reduced repair times dramatically.
Adrian is the type of technician that every dealer needs to have. International dealers would dominate the competition if that was the case. He is kind-hearted, work ethic like no other, has excelled so quickly, and cares for the customer's needs and getting them back on the road.
Apprentice Technician
Erica Young is one of our most valued Apprentice Technicians at Rush Truck Centres of Canada who shows the most desire for growth and excellence. She is always ready to accept additional responsibilities and takes full accountability for her work. Erica is a valuable contributor to our team, with a great deal of stretch capability within our organization.
We can always count on Erica to show an interest in our organizational work, communications, and overall morals and values of Rush Enterprises. She is a valued member of our Joint Health and Safety committee, ensuring our employees end their shifts safely and make it back home to their families every day. She is an advocate for women in the workforce and promoting/inspiring young women in the trades. She has represented Rush Truck Centres at our local college during October’s Jill of All Trades, an all-female job fair.
Erica always has a smile on her face and a positive outlook, keeps herself accountable, and always asks for help when required. She shows great potential and a hard-working attitude, which in turn benefits our Branch as a whole. Erica is conscious of minimizing waste on customers' units, ensuring correct parts are used, her bay is clean, and units leave here in better shape than when they arrived. She makes sure to involve her foreman, supervisors, and management when diagnostic/repair decisions are essential to ensure the best method is followed. With all her accomplishments thus far, we are confident that Erica’s actions will result in a positive and long-term change in our shop.

Service Technician
Jeremy is a very passionate and motivated Technician at Ascendance Trucks. He takes great pride in the work he does, as well as in taking the lead with up-and-coming techs. Jeremy provides his knowledge and skills to everyone who asks.
Jeremy has stayed countless times after his shift to make sure job deadlines are met. He has also gone to customer locations to help with troubleshooting. He always lends a hand in the shop when someone is stuck. Jeremy has offered to come in on his days off to help when he knows we are in a bind. He makes sure work is handed out in the shop. He also assists in making sure his fellow techs are in the right direction and on the right job.
When Jeremy is on a job, he is always aware of the job he is doing and the time he needs to complete it. We are so lucky to have Jeremy working in our dealership!
Service Technician
Mark is our #1 technician. He takes on the daily pressures of work and always has a positive attitude. He always puts the customer first and is willing to help fellow technicians. Mark is a prime example of the core values we have at Cumberland International Truck. He is always willing to think outside the box to get the customers' trucks completed and back on the road.
When Mark was assigned to complete an engine in-frame for a local emergency vehicle, he worked extra hours and over the weekend to complete the task. He takes pride in his work and is always willing to spend time helping his fellow technicians.
Mark can tackle any job; we are confident and know that any task given will be completed 100%. He stays up to date on his training to keep his job knowledge current. Mark has worked for International for 19 years. He is a loyal employee and very family oriented, very dedicated to his wife and two teenage sons. We are grateful to have Mark on our team.
